SHANEGORMLEY

July 4th:
This river ran right behind our house and always inspired me.
Poetry
Poetry is one of my favourite literary forms. I love the challenge of fine tuning language to the point where every single syllable is crucial. It is like weaving a fine tapestry with words as your thread. This section is dedicated to my poetry. I am currently working on a series of poems based on photos I captured while I was living in Pittsburg, New Hampshire. I will add them as I go. To view them please click on the gallery icon.
While celebrating July 4th (for the first time) it struck me how awe inspiring the river looked. A thick fog had rolled in over the water making it seem like something out of fantasy. I could almost imagine some hideous monster rising out of the depths.

Leaf Peeping

Fall in Pittsburg:
"Leaf peepers" travel to New England to admire to foiliage.
The wonderful array of colours to be found in the trees that surround Pittsburg was amazing. This picture was taken on a hike up the hill just across the road from where I lived. The corresponding poem will soon be made available.
